- Enjoyed the balmy weather of Friday evening by indulging in a couple of interesting drinks (including the marvellously named Bruges Zot) at The Dove.
- Followed it up with dinner at Bistrotheque — lamb rump, grilled provencal vegetables, garlic crisps. Very tasty indeed, though the service left a little (OK, a lot) to be desired.
- Picked up some lovely sausages, a crêpe and some lovely liquorice treats from Broadway Market on a beautiful Saturday morning.
- Played 8 × 10 minute games of football back to back (well, with a ten minute break in the middle). My legs feel like they’ve had broomsticks inserted into them.
- Celebrated not dying during the two-hour footie marathon by getting steaming drunk with the Arseblog gang at the ever-accommodating Tollie, enjoying some mighty fine Thai food along the way.
- Watched Arsenal stroll to a victory against a really poor Middlesborough side who really didn’t look like they were fighting for their survival.
- Continued my slow progress through HBO’s indescribably great second season of The Wire.
