The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
A wonderful book by Mark Haddon, but as I found out tonight (thanks to ITV and Jeremy Brett), the title is a reference to the (Memoirs of) Sherlock Holmes story Silver Blaze.
I had a most peculiar sense of premonition/déjà-vu just before Mr Brett uttered the phrase, and it rather startled me when it emerged. Every day — as they say — is a school-day.
