- Finally picked up our new coaststand from Unto This Last. And carried the thing two miles home on a rather warm Saturday afternoon.
- Bought some delicious Prosciutto di Parma from Campania Gastronomia along with some nice cheese, humous, focaccia, lamb and more from Broadway Market.
- Decided staying in is the new going out, so had a few friends round and served up most of what we’d bought earlier in the day for dinner. Lamb meatball tagine. Yummy.
- Drank nearly all my rum: finishing off a bottle of Havana Club 7yo, Havana Club 3yo, and the remnants of a bottle of Pampero Aniversario. I may have to replace them with a bottle of the new Mount Gay Old Cask 1703.
- Watched a bit of the confederations cup: Spain looked quite tasty beating a poor New Zealand side 5-0, but Bafana Bafana didn’t look up to much against Iraq, despite being a little unfortunate on one occasion.
- Finally watched Romance & Cigarettes, John Turturro’s blue-collar musical/comedy from 2006. Very enjoyable, though I now have this stuck in my head. Review coming soon.
